PROFILE

Tyler Ganske is an Application Developer and Analyst with over six years experience. He has a background in developing in multiple languages, application design and developement, implementation and migration, and client support. Tyler is also regarded on his methodological abilitiy in Oracle Database Administration and Data Warehouse Analysis.

Tyler has extensive experience using various Oracle Developer and Administration tools, including Forms and Reports, in addition to extensive certified background in working in depth with Oracle’s PL/SQL. Tyler was an integral team member in developing one of CGI’s large Enterprise solutions, a major Government Child Care Subsidy System. Tyler was a lead developer in developing Oracle 10g Packages, Forms and Reports for the Application that also hada major financials aspect.

Tyler solely developed and implemented a Data Conversion for a Government Early Childhood Educator system. He was responsible for documenting, scripting, and implementing the entire process.

Tyler was responsible for the following:

· Application and Database Design using Oracle, Jet, and SQL Server databases

· Design, development, and support of complex SQL Expression writing for Oracle, SQL Server, and Jet databases

· Data Conversions including data extractions, data transformation and load design and development

Tyler developed Web and Client applications using a product known as CityView. As the sole developer on an application for the Municipality of Encinitas California, Tyler prototyped and implemented a GIS Integration into a proprietary prebuilt application, this included analysis and design, feature documentation, and implementation of spatial GIS queries and views via SQL, CityView and Sql Server tools. Tyler was also involved in a plethora of Client requests for legacy application bug fixes and data conversions in which quick resolution and turn around were always necessary.

Tyler coordinated support requests for clients on a daily basis, organizing client support schedules and tracked on-going issues, both remotely and on client site. Tyler was also involved in ministry office mass computer moves, which often included solely dismantling, setting up and configuring more than 100 computers in a day under time constrained deadlines. These setup and configurations also deemed network and data closet troubleshooting necessary.

Tyler provided subcontracting support to a local solutions provider, where he and a collegue developed an online basketball drill video library for Basketball BC. Tyler developed this online Application using PHP, and HTML. He was also the sole developer for a Long Service Awards local government application, wherein he deployed an online SQL Server Application for government employees to self register themselves for Long Service Awards; he developed this application using HTML, and ASP. Tyler also reengineered a VBScript legal application for local government, enhancing it to provide the ability to add PDF files to an Oracle indexed flat file database.

Tyler’s responsibilities included:

Tyler was an integral part of a team developing and supporting online medical database applications for the Alberta Cross Cancer Institute, utilizing Oracle Forms and Crystal Reports. Tyler collected data requirements, was involved in milestone setting, and was in direct interaction with the client to fulfill a user friendly application environment. Tyler developed complex PL/SQL packages and triggers to be utilized in the medical applications.

2000 - 2001 Tourism British Columbia

Oracle Programmer Analyst

Tyler’s responsibilities included:

· Analyzed, designed/diagrammed and coded new interfaces to navigate Tourism BC’s Oracle 8i database using Oracle Developer and Designer

· Wrote packages; triggers, functions and stored procedures in PL/SQL Designed and Implemented applications to use these stored procedures.

· Implemented, tested and debugged using Oracle Forms

· Completed the full-cycle of design and production development

Tyler was responsible for updating Tourism BC’s legacy ObjectView application with Oracle Forms and Reports. Tyler backwards engineered the legacy system and worked closely with the client to effectively document and re-implement the business process using Oracle Forms, which the legacy system had been fulfilling previously. Using Oracle Designer he also updated the Function Hierarchy diagrams and ERD diagrams that were related to the Oracle Database, as he updated the database structure as well to accommodate enhanced functionality.
